The university was formally inaugurated on February 10, 1993 by the Prime Minister of Bangladesh. North South University library has 6 floors with over 70,000 square feet floor area on the southeastern side of the campus. NSU is a non-profit private higher education institution located in the the urban setting of the metropolis of Dhaka, Bangladesh.
